What: Karie works to salvage her aching, breaking feet with Farmhouse Fresh Honey Glaze, $24.

The Lowdown: Strappy summer sandals: cute. Calluses and blisters: Not so cute. For me, the two go hand-in-hand, and I can’t rub two pennies together for a monthly pedicure, let alone a much-needed weekly one. So I flipped head over callused heel when I came across Farmhouse Fresh Honey Heel Glaze. before even opening the cute-as-can-be country preservative jar, I’m already thinking of the numerous uses I’ll have for the jar once I’ve drained it of every last moisturizing drop. (Cotton-ball holder? Q-Tip receptacle? Candle jar? The options are endless!)

But, back to the glaze…The chai-scented potion smells divine, and anything that smells this beautiful deserves some extra points. The box describes its contents as a “moisture veil,” and I’d have to say it lives up to its claims—even after I rinse my feet off, a thin layer of glaze remains on my skin, providing my soles with suitable hydration without feeling sticky—despite the glaze’s syrup-like consistency. Genuine honey and aloe leaf juice offer the moisture, while pineapple and papaya fruit extracts work to soften up those nasty hard spots on my soles. The best part? The handy-dandy application brush, which serves to keep hands totally free of goo. And, truthfully, the super-soft brush makes me feel as though I’m at a posh spa, receiving a pricey pedi treatment—scoring this product even much more points. While the glaze didn’t rid my feet of those stubborn calluses (I’m scared they’re a lost cause at this point), the the tops of my feet feel as smooth as honey.

Yea or Nay: Softer feet are great, but it’s a bit pricey. The added extras—brush and jar—definitely add to the value.
