Labs & more Rescue is great at sending me Ace look-a-likes! If Ace didn’t have gray fur, might you even tell the difference? ?

Marylou is a 2-year-old lab mix for adoption with Labs & more in San Diego. We are hanging out with her for the weekend to provide her a break from staying at a boarding kennel where she’s been waiting on a foster house or adoptive home.

She doesn’t understand what she’s getting herself into.

Marylou will be joining my hubby Josh as well as I for the Labs & more 5K Mutt Run on Saturday.

While longterm fostering is not something I’m able to dedicate to right now, we can surely open our house to a dog in requirement for just a couple of nights.

Marylou is going to get great deals of love, interest as well as exercise – as well as yes, training – over the weekend. (And exactly how adorable is her name, by the way?)

We’ll be able to report back to the rescue more info about her character as well as habits in a house setting. This is all info prospective adopters want to know.

Is she great with dogs? great with cats? Kennel trained as well as potty trained? Can she be left alone for 30 minutes without freaking out? exactly how is she on walks?

We will soon discover out.

Foster houses are so important for rescue groups as well as shelters since these volunteers not only save dogs’ lives by providing them a area to online (vs. being killed in a shelter). But, it’s likewise so important to be able to tell adopters exactly how a dog really acts in a home. The fewer unknowns, the more likely somebody will embrace the dog.
